How to survive working at home (WAH)

Have you figured it out yet?

It seems to have overstayed its welcome – this working at home thing – but if you can’t beat ’em you might as well join ’em, or something like that.

Luckily, we have mastered working at home – and in your car and at a friend’s birthday dinner and at an airport and at a workout class… #realtorlife – but we’ll keep this one short! As we head into the school year (which will also be at home for many), here are some of our best tips and tricks to get in a rhythm at home:

1) Before you hop on an important call, bait the pups with a chew toy.

We’ve been told this works for children, too (substitute chew toy with snack or iPad).

2) For a Zoom call or GoogleMeet, fix the front of your hair and throw on a nice blouse with those sweat pants.

This one’s for the ladies! Enjoy that extra time we just added back in your life!

3) On those Zoom calls, place your laptop in front of the window.

It makes a BIG difference in your lighting game!

4) Take walk breaks! So much energy and endorphins release even in a quick 10 minutes.

Bonus: listen to the Dave Ramsey Show (our current fave) while you walk!

5) Create your consistency.

Typically start your day with a shower and a cup of coffee? Still do it!

6) Time block.

This one is HUGE, or else the whole day seems like a blur.

If all else fails, call us and we’ll find you a new home that fits your new working at home needs a bit better 🙂

Happy WAHing!
